Synchronous Motor PTM Series
The frequency-synchronized motor is not affected by voltage fluctuations or load variations!
A synchronous motor is a frequency-synchronized motor. If the power supply frequency is constant, it rotates at a constant speed (synchronous speed) and is not affected by voltage fluctuations or load variations. It is protected by impedance. Except for some parts, the coils used in NPM synchronous motors have a high resistance value, preventing excessive current from flowing through the coils. This means that it can prevent coil burnout. Since it is an AC motor, it simply rotates when the power supply is connected, and no control circuit is required. It uses permanent magnets in the rotor, which provides excellent responsiveness during startup and shutdown. It starts and stops simultaneously with the power ON/OFF.
